Bob Rhapsody was again absent from AAPL's JAVA deal with MSFT

News releases limit it to MacOS and MRJ . Appears AAPL's Web Objects (produces C & JAVA) and Rhapsody are separate issues and not in the Aug 97 agreement with MSFT .

Keeping Rhapsody separate may provide AAPL leverage to be both a Mac proprietary company and a "open" OS company . SUN objected to the Mac OS using MSFT's JAVA technology :

" The development deal is another log on the growing fire between Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW) and Microsoft. Sun Microsystems developed Java to be a standard programming language for all platforms, where UNIX had many different versions that weren't
compatible with each other. "

Seems like SUN should be phoning Senor Jobs as IBM is now (3/17/98) treating him royally - any thoughts ?
