Frank, you're right re. Ashton's inital staking. They took whatever was available in the region without the prohibitively thick glacial till. Their original claim block(s) coincides with the drift maps. They knew what they were doing (surprise, surprise). Also syncs will the topographic high, "the Buffalo Head Hills." -Other highs in the region (west) are the Clear Hills and the Naylor Hills. -j :> PS-- the numerous yellow diamonds were said to be found in various pipes
