Whatever THQI does with wrestling there will now be a formidable competitor whoever gets the WCW license. I think wrestling will remain an important category for THQI but not the dominant category it has been. Certainly any announcement on an ongoing wrestling license will be seen as favorable but I don't think we will bounce back up on such news. If you look at companies that take these dips, sometimes the stock almost immediately moves back up a little but generally it takes some time before a new consensus on the value emerges. It will be interesting to see how the various securities analysts factor this into their price projections.

Justin,

I've seen some cool things posted about ECW posted over on the MF thread. (Stuff like barbed wire cage matches.) My experience with my teenage son is: that as long as the wrestlers can grab illegal foreign objects from the stands with which to repeatedly assault and batter their opponents in a criminal manner, and as long as they can then "taunt" there fallen and helpless opponents in a most highly insulting and derogatory way, the names of the wrestlers and the confederations to which they "belong" are really of secondary importance. Which, seems reasonable to me -g-.
