Do the analysts have wind of what mr softee (MSFT) is doing ?
Mr Softee savagely went after NSCP because they will not give up control of
the desktop without an intense fight.
Now that war is being won - they have realized that the next important thing
to do to retain control of the users eyeballs (and the users UI experience)
is to make sure that the users spend time at their home page ?
Why ? Because the User Interface that the user uses is almost entirely
within the browser and just controlling the frame is useless.
This is why the Vice President who started up IE and the Vice President who
guided Office for about 5 years are both working on making sure that it is
microsoft and not yohoo who will be the premier destination on the web.
When this seeps in, Yoohoo's stock price is toast even though Yoohoo will
survive and thrive as a company.
Do the knuckleheads at wall street know this ?
Or perhaps these guys think about earnings 4 years out but don't stop to consider the threats that are 3 or 4 months out ?

>>Just in time to buy some YHOO

I don't think yet. I'm watching the 9-day exponential moving average (my favorite short-term trend indicator) which is currently 79.
