Charlotte, if I may. I am confident that Helen only reported what was told to her by The Nasdaq people. As I had posted on the Yahoo thread there is no plausible reason why Tom or Helen would ever say something like that. In fact it was a bold statement for the very fact that they could (and as it turned out) be wrong. Looking back, I'm sure they wish they had kept quiet.

As for news vs PR. I believe they go hand in hand but they are not the same thing. Currently every company that is large and small that is trying to elbow their way into Voip have felt the pressure lately to throw down their gauntlets. Read the releases carefully. In some cases they are superficial IMO. The real players are working the deals positioning behind the scenes. Im not saying that Franklin should not be conscious of the competition and what they are doing (believe me they are). But at the same token we have seen that puff announcements with this company only results in selling into the news. I dont know about you but I would rather wait for the big one if it indeed exists. PR is something done 24 hours a day through the use of many different mediums. By the way that includes word of mouth. Referrals are the best kind of PR. So indeed we are growing stronger roots. By the way there are many different kinds of roots ie stockholders so when and if Frank signs the big one more than water will be filtering down.gggg

Thats Enuff

>>Guys, I don't know whether to apologize for starting a 'war' here or to be glad I have started some conversation and controversy going.<<

No apologies needed, and no wars either. (My opinion).

I was merely having fun with the bulldozer thingy, you know all those seeds, quiet growth, farmer talk, etc. etc.

>>But... messages like the one last Friday where someone talked to Helen and Nasdaq was supposed to get back to FTEL by the end of the day...today is Wednesday already. I know, they probably didn't say which Friday, but this leaves questions in my mind I'd like answered.<<

My own opinion:

I do not know the details as to why FTEL is taking the strategy taken.
Some thoughts:

1. May be they are working on something big that requires a number of technical questions answered before going ahead. May be not.

2. May be the news yesterday about the DOJ (Department of Justice), looking closer at the MCI/WCOM deal may have something to do with FTEL's plans, may be not.

3. May be they have encountered other details that need re-assessing. May be not.

4. May be we are a bunch of babies that can not take the heat of investing in penny-stocks, we are accustomed to "instant gratification", (as in thinking that "instant caf‚ takes too long"). May be not.

5. The FTEL employees in many instances can not disclose much of the information they know, they have to be very careful with that.

The fact that many of the SH call FTEL's office, asking, asking, asking, the same question over and over, etc., is sometimes ridiculous.

The business world is not a clear cut thing that "according to the manual" if we add: c + h + u + c + k, then it will necessarily will yield "chuck" it may actually mean Charles, or whatever.

After all, no one really knows what the hell "xyz" means. Right?

Sometimes things get "delayed", schedules are "pushed back" etc.

On top of that to be answering every phone call from the next "Yahoo", asking about nasdaq, it has got to be getting "t-i-r-i-n-g".

6. Nasdaq no doubt will eventually be important, but I believe that having a more solid achievement backing up the Nasdaq announcement, (in order to have a "follow through"), may be more important, even to the point of considering a "delay".

Again may be, may be not.

Assuming we have established a plan or strategy for our respective investments, then we must follow such strategy, then we can proceed with the following thought.

The bottom line comes down to one of the following three (3) choices:

1. Whatever is best for you, buy, sell or hold. you decide.
2. Whatever is best for you, buy, sell or hold. you decide.
3. Whatever is best for you, buy, sell or hold. you decide.

I know, incredible wisdom! (yet another Sage thinking for Mr. Garaffa).

Yes, exchanging thoughts and ideas here is good. For example:

>>With Nasdaq I assume. Would love to light fire under them but know that isn't possible.<<

Now, that is an idea!! I love them bureaucrats on fire!

So in summary, I think Ftel may go up, then again it may also go down, and very possibly also, it may stay right where it is.

Yet, more wisdom...

I haven't been reading all of the posts recently, but, in case you
missed my post, I was told that they would not know about Nasdaq listing for another 2 weeks. I was told this on Monday. I am not
sure if anyone else has reported anything to that nature here, but,
of the posts I have read, I haven't seen anybody else mention a
timeframe this week. So, I am assuming another week and a half
before we know anything.

Charlotte, It was I that made the fateful post, however, I only
posted what I was told and I was not even inquiring about NASDAQ at the time. I do take full responsibility for the post and whatever fallout which may have occured. In the future I'll only post information that is public or comment on same.

I remain an unabashed BULL on FTEL/FNET and I know that Frank, Helen
and the gang won't let us or themselves down. I look forward to upcoming events, whether they be news, trade show reports or
new products.
