John,

I have never had a problem... as in an earlier post, just make sure you use GTC.
For, if you use a DAY order and
only a portion of your initial shares execute and
the trading day ends then you have to reenter an order for the remaining shares.
But with a GTC the remaining shares are still in an open order status. Hopefully the GTC order doesn't expire before the remaining shares are traded.

Wish list.

While the topic is again "DATEK, why don't you ..."

1. All or none should be allowed. It is very frustrating to carry an odd few shares because they let 20 or 30 go of a larger (much!!) order.

2. Allow change from "day" to "GTC" (or reverse) without cancelling and re-entering. This allows completing the damn order the next day, if the partial fill a few shares on a "day" designated order.

3. Allow conversion of a "Limit" order to a market order without cancel and re-enter. This is to cover the partial (small) fill on a limit buy, if the market starts to move away.

Any comments,

Ira
