The Network World article is excellent, but I disagree totally with Mr. Currier's conclusion. He is sacrificing a 2:1 to 8:1 performance advantage on a lightly loaded shared 100 Meg network for a 9% performance gain on a heavily loaded switched 10 Meg network. That doesn't make any sense to me, especially when you consider the likely usage patterns for such a network.
