Valueman, I can not remember that Globalstar publicly announced its intention of building 2nd generation satellites. However, I did go the FCC web site and found this text- "GLOBALSTAR, LP'S AND IRIDIUM, LLC'S APPLICATIONS TO LAUNCH AND OPERATE SATELLITE SYSTEMS IN THE 2 GHZ FREQUENCY BAND AND MOTOROLA GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS, INC.'S APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT, LAUNCH AND OPERATE THE CELESTRI SATELLITE SYSTEM - Text. [INT Actions] Released: 11/26/1997." You may already do this. It also mentioned that the document may not be available on the internet yet. May have to get a paper copy if this is the document we are looking for. Brian H.
