... how do you see Cymer stock holding support or even rallying in the face of chip overcapcity and reduced capital spending throughout the industry? To survive in this environment chipmakers need to improve productivity. Indeed the race is on for DUV tools. Even Korea is buying DUV tools (recent order to ASM changed from i-line to DUV) while pushing out all other buys. BTW, the link to the referenced article does not work. Tulvio

False Prophets of Doom are just as prevalent as False Stock Profits

False Prophets of Doom (ie Bears) are a much more unsavory type, however, because typically they resort to unsubstantiated rumors (have you noticed any on CYMI Aaron?), distortion of facts and misrepresentations.

Here is the right way to look at your False Stock Prophet post (the False Prophets of Doom edits provide a more balanced, objective view of the issues):

I believe CYMI has done a good job in dispelling all of the FALSE rumors. I am very amused that anyone who is a true shareholder in this company would ever think that the stock reflects any hyperbole whatsoever. In point of fact the opposite is the case.

Unfortunately in our society today it is all too common to see personal attacks as a means to divert attention away from the issues and the facts. Witness our President and First Lady's spin tactics on the vast Right Wing conspiracy and attacks on Starr instead of simply answering why a 21 year old intern would get to revisit the President in the Whitehouse 37 times *after* she had already left her job.

With respect to your comments about lagging chip demand and capital spending the opposite is the case for CYMI, as well. First and foremost, there is an absolute dearth of .25 mu chip supply relative to demand, there is a mad land rush on to get there. No matter what is happening to overall semi-equip cap spending, the level of capital spending on DUV equipment will continue to accelerate. Starting at a base of zero and growing at 50% compounded annually, there will not be anything but continued acceleration. DUV cap spending is not discretionary - it is mandatory. That is just the nature of high tech and its requirements to stay ahead of the curve.

Good Luck To Each and All
