What scriptures from the great book support your opinion and why do you think this? The reason I ask is that my beloved brother took his own life and my family is left to search for answers. We will never know why, but knowing that he is in good hands would be comforting. My understanding is that he is or will be in "Purgatory", a place between heaven and hell. My faith, although tested, will never be broken. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you all, and God bless. Tony Cava You will see that at no time was it said that Tony's brother had not accepted our Lord Jesus Christ.....!!! It was only in a follow-up post did Tony say that he wasn't sure whether or not his brother had..... And in any case I say to you....My post to Tony remains the same! How dare anybody to sit in the judgment seat of Christ and presume to know what really is in the heart of another concerning their last moments on earth! I also say to you, how dare we presume to know when that last chance is given to a soul to know the entire truths of God and His most precious Son. Even after this old flesh dies we still have a living soul....It is this soul that is judged and either it will live forever or experience the second death. That second death does not come before the end of the 1000 yr. reign of our Lord.....All souls (Good or Bad).that have passed on will all live during the 1000 yr.reign of Christ..And all for a most important reason....Have you not read! Yes, absolutely!!.... we all must accept Christ as our Lord and Savior before we can spen eternity with Him in heaven.....And God our Father provided for that time.... The problem with people as opposed to God is thatGod made the rules and many people are not 1/100 as understanding and or loving or merciful as God, in seeing how, and under what conditions those rules are followed.!....It's God's plan not mans! The Gospel that I am feeding Tony is the bread of Life. Why is it that so many self righteous Bible Thumpers continue to put God in a box and turn others away from the love and comfort of God! You also said: Jesus also said that, Except ye become converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus was not lying. He was telling the straight truth. What is your point? Jesus always spoke truths!...Jesus is the Truth! I know that you are trying to comfort Tony in love but you must do it in truth as well.
