Here is the rabbit , er bunny , from S. Jobs's Seybold hat

A 400mz copper based PowerPC from AIM brother IBM :

zdnet.com

" As part of his keynote address, Apple Computer Inc. interim CEO
Steve Jobs will demonstrate a Macintosh with a prototype 400MHz
copper PowerPC chip inside, according to sources.

The copper chip is a semiconductor breakthrough for its developer,
IBM Microelectronics Division. "

'Nuf to scare a short awaiting Merced ? or better yet bring in new believers who will then buy AAPL products .

Ah sweet expectations !

Cents,

Seems to me more analysts might be piling up

Actually, they have already been sneaking in by adding '98's net from
$0.81 to $0.91 within a couple of weeks. Well, that estimate appears
to be still too low.

Cents,

The CNBC segment on Apple was repeated several times during the day today. It included some broker analysts suggesting that Apple was a best buy because of the low p/e compared to other boxmakers, and gave enthusiastic commentary about the new entertainment box. I guess CNBC doesn't hold a grudge. When Jobs walked out of that interview and the staff constantly mentioned for the next couple of days that they'd never agree not to ask him the question that he said they'd promised not to ask him, I figured good press for Apple might be finished from CNBC. It was wonderful to see these same guys doing a very favorable review of Apple today. They did look at the chart and mentioned that the stock had been 70 at one time, but it was also positive about the current stock price progress and its potential for additional growth.
