Frank,

I think you meant to post to Mark The Trader.

...anyway I think it is good in the longterm, but for the s/t margins get hit, earnings drop and the stock will probably drop also.

I have been looking at CPQ for some trading but have been waiting until it gets down to 22-24.

Maybe this news is all that is needed.

BTW, a better play might be DEC instead b/c not all of the merger money is priced into the stock. Right now DEC should be around 54 and it is 50. Don't tell anybody...and maybe we can sneak up on it tomorrow.<g>

Good Luck Trading
DavidG

Frank ,

I was not talking about a selloff in inventory , rather a selloff in the stock of Compaq. For those who are patient I think you have a good
buy here on CPQ. On the topic of those LSI puts, its something that
would make you go "hmmm" however it could be someone selling naked in the money puts , or maybe someone getting out of a large put position that they had when the stock was higher. I cant remember if anyone posted open interest figures on those contracts.
