One of the issues implicit in Terrence's position (as I understand it) is definity--his contention being that because the existence of God cannot be definitively established via the scientific method, ergo God does not exist.

Your final sentence "No scientist will claim to have an eternal solution or timeless truths." lends credence to my notion that one couldn't rely upon the vagaries of scientific revelation to establish the existence of God anyway.

I maintain that if God exists, such an existence is an unalterable and eternal truth. You say science isn't capable of establishing such truths. This leads me to the conclusion that the scientific method is incompetent to address the issue of God's existence.
