<<I cannot see how an inventory problem with equipment that is becoming 'obsolete' by the minute can have a severe impact on a company that builds to order with the latest technology that is currently available!>>

K.M.,

The implied problem is that if all the other box makers have a problem, than they will 'dump' into the market place.
Once a little quite in the industry, DELL will rise on it's merits.

What I am trying to point out is that the inventory is with high end PC's.

DEll sells high end PC's so the odds increase that CPQ's inventory liquidation will have an impact on dell.
Not every one buy's 333 just because that is the highest number.
