aside from the obvious sales channel work, the real culture change at SGI will be having to update the hardware more often than periodicly. the Indigo2/Impact went three years without a scsi or network upgrade. when SGI mgmt realises that PC components change every three months, and whats not reconstituted becomes a writeoff, the shock could be serious. i hope that anyone at SGI who believes that keeping component configurations static through a products life take some time off and look around. vincent
