good point. i just dont know how valuable ONE of the g.lite implementation patents is going to be. as you say, there has to be a way for WSTL to get around AWRE.

Maybe Hayes isn't but TI is. It is ironic you mentioned Hayes, which supposedly is working on ADSL modem. I just read an article about them preparing the cable modem capable to do 45 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up. That is realy covering all bases.
