>>> I am Pug shareholder and I wondering is Ashton a safer and wiser investment? I am thinking of selling my Pug shares and buying Ashton. <<<

I am a shareholder in both. Ashton is considered a classier stock. At these prices it is a strong speculative buy and put away for at least a year to evaluate a true return on your money. I can assure you at these prices, you'll make more than what you would earn with a GIC. As for Pure Gold, it is tuff. I have had many discussions/debates re this for a long time. Pure Gold has a bad reputation in the market place. People keep saying it should be worth more 1/3 of Ashton's price. If that was the case, I think the market would dictate that. Pure Gold is a trader stock for now. Management has a lot to prove. In the past, they cleaned up lots of pockets from investors. I had personally advised them that a reverse split was a wrong thing to do with Pure Gold based on timing. The stock is trading at .20 pre-consolidation. Extremely cheap. They should have waited until after 500t sampling and jsut keep issuing paper at old prices. Personally, if they would have never reversed, the stock would have been trading at .40.. $2.00 in today's price.
Therefore, your call, both are good and a diversification is not a bad idea. Don't forger that Pure Gold Shareholders on record March 18th, will receive one right for every share you own. I was expecting this to spike the value of the stock but it hasn't as of yet. I expect it to move up next week.
The other key measurement for Pure Gold is their planned drilling with Caribgold scheduled later this month. If they can find diamondifirous pipes without Ashton, watch out, this may be then considered the second leader/spotlight company in Alberta. A premium will be added to the stock within days.
If not, I expect Pure Gold to hit new lows this year, irrelevant of what is announced with their JV Ashton and Pure Gold will continue to maintain their bad market reputation on Bay Street.
One other interesting issue Pure Gold missed was their opportunity of changing their name during the reverse consolidation. A name I like is Pure Diamonds vs Pure Gold. I think this will do the stock some real good things and leave old Pure Gold memories behind.
