It's too bad no one's reading this thread who knows Hayton. I'd love to get a personal characterization of the man. Maybe he just tried real hard and failed on those prior projects. Who knows? Did Wired go so far as to check the church he attends or the charities he donates toward? I don't think so.

Think about it. What would this stock market would be like if they didn't let people invest who screwed up in their own lives in the past. And what is the character of that one percent who control so much of the wealth in this country? And how does this break down when you think of how much of the world's resources that our nation (think again that one percent) controls, as opposed to other nations? Quite a breakdown, huh? Sure we came to the defense of Kuwaitt, but not East Timor. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why we defended one and not the other!

Today our economy is as strong as it's ever been, peace is at hand and the UN has proven itself more and more worthy, perhaps we--as a nation of diverse people--can do more to help others in the world who aren't so lucky.

Yes, there are venture capitalists behind this viable entity that has a viable product. But it is the entity, its product and its utility in the marketplace that we place the faith of our investment. Not them guys in the background.

Well, I guess I overdid it on this speech, huh.
