John. I guess you are right on your theory that not everybody felt bad for us with some of our frigid winters. gg.

At least you have been lucky with your move to a new home. It does not look at this time that we are getting hit with a winter storm.

As far as riding stocks up and down is concerned, I am guilty of having done that, still do and probably always will. I guess that's what everybody calls holding for the long term. gg. But on the other hand I have taken profits many times, have regretted some sells and got lucky on other ones.

If things keep going the way they are now, I may become strictly a trader also. gg. Naw.

Hi John. After months and months of thinking about going into a Y2K stock, besides Orcl gg, I finally decided to buy Alyd today. I hope I don't bring you bad luck. I know the stock has risen quite a bit and it may have been dumb to go into it, but what the heck - you only live once and you can't take it with you. I decided to go into this one after I heard that they are in an alliance of picking up business for companies that are coming late to the Year 2000 fix.

I hope the earnings will be alright. gg.

BTW, I don't know if I told you in my earlier message that I sold Infoseek at a nice profit. Maybe I can pick it up again soon.

Sonny

John,

Alaskan December Beach Party sounded like fun

It was. But Alaskans aren't stupid, it was held indoors - all toasty and warm. ;^)
