Dipy:

I must concur with Truman and I will back any decision he makes regarding you future on this thread.
Though I respect the majority of your contrarian post, IMO you've crossed the line.
Is everything in your life black & white, right & wrong?
Your attempt to harass Truman because he allowed the existence of an exception is truly amazing.
At first I was sympathetic for your plight now I just tyre of it.
I hope that you rethink your stance and adjust accordingly.

Tony

Truman,

I would like to thank you for your great leadership of this thread. Its existence and success are directly due to your stewardship. I am sure that the majority of participants concur. The ground rules for the thread which you have provided, and continue to provide, guide the thread in a constructive and valuable direction.

If certain SI members feel that these ground rules are too onerous, they might wish to create their own thread with their own ground rules, possibly titled "Starship Captain Trashed." This would give readers a choice of where to participate.

Again thank you,
Alan

Truman :

Suffice it to say that it has never been my intention to vitiate this thread with irrelevancies or missives of any kind. I think all this has happened mainly because some of the participants on this thread don't know how to (or don't want to) deal with a differing opinion.

Like for instance when I said I don't want to buy Brinker's newsletter, and someone promptly concluded that I couldn't afford it! And not just that, he kept parroting it repeatedly. Adjectives such as "free-loader", "loser", "stupid" etc. were freely thrown around. Of course all that was OK, because on this thread, the unwritten rule seems to be that all are equal; however, some are more equal than others!

If, as you think, this thread has been "poisoned", it is imperative that all of us ponder over what role each of us played in making that happen, rather than take the easy way out by blaming one single individual. The real question is -- do we have the courage to do that?

Dipy.

Ditto, Truman! Dipy's comments are a RPITA (i.e royal ...)

Bob has been speaking of an intermediate correction recently. Specifically, he indicates that his model could issue an "intermediate sell signal." It is possible that the model would first issue an intermediate sell signal and then, weeks or months later, after the decline is well under way, issue a bear market sell signal.

Is this something new? Did Bob recently incorporate an "intermediate sell signal" in his model?

Best wishes,

I2
