I thought that on the Nasdaq you only need the bid to be an uptick?
As long as the bid is an uptick you can "hit" it.

Yeah, pretty much. The big problem if you go at the bid, is they usually cant do it at the bid, unless the bid was an uptick.....
ie...10x10 1/8..prints at 10, 1/8 (uptick),1/8,1/8, becomes 10 1/8 x 3/16...NOW you could smack the bid.
