CatLady I will explain the technical side of risk reduction through diversification with a compelling easy to understand example tomorrow. The whole thing has to do with stocks not moving up and down in a coordinated fashion so the ups of some cancel out the downs of others. It is like those high tech noise reduction gadgets that eliminate engine noise in a BMW through a noise signal that is out of phase with the real noise so they cancel each other! Pancho
