Mr Michael Dearden reports
The initial exploration of the El Oro property will begin the week of March
22ÿ 1999.ÿ Regional reconnaissance has identified several mineralized zones
on the El Oro property. Previous mining operations, prior to 1930, wereÿ of
high grade veins that outcropped and could be followed underground from the
surface. Theÿ propertyÿ hasÿ neverÿ beenÿ exploredÿ byÿ modernÿ methodsÿ of
systematicÿ mappingÿ andÿ sampling,ÿ drilling,ÿ geophysicsÿ and model-based
exploration.
The company's exploration objective is to determine theÿ potentialÿ forÿ an
economicallyÿ viable,ÿ bulk-tonnage,ÿ preciousÿ metalÿ deposit. Exploration
targets include disseminated mineralization in host rocks adjacent toÿ high
gradeÿ veinsÿ in old workings and high grade veins that do not outcrop near
the surface. Neither source of mineralization would have been accessible to
pastÿ Mexicanÿ highÿ grade operations. The exploration program will include
mapping, surface sampling, aerial photo analysis and landsat imagery.
The El Oro project is bordered by Francisco Gold's El Sauzal project to the
south; Glamis Gold's Cienequita mine to the east and Teck Corp to the west.
