Maybe I'm missing something by not subscribing to any newsletters, but it seems to me that with all of the information that is available on the web these days, one is far better off to weed their own garden. A good start is to print out and read all of a company's news releases carefully, going back to their inception, then read the latest quarterly and annual. Maybe then call IR and ask a few questions. Any further information offered would have to be of sufficiently high quality and consistency to justify the price. Since I've never subscribed to anyone, I'm wondering if anyone has generally found this to be the case.
