<< I repeat, for love to exist there must be free will. >> Then, my dog has free will. One of the greatest loves in this world is the love between a dog and his master(s). << I can't imagine that God wanted Satan to make that choice. >> So, God didn't know that Satan was going to make that choice. And.... God doesn't have the power to create mankind, with free will, but without evil. NOT! God chose to create both decent and indecent men and women. The alternative would be to restrict God's powers, and say that God did not have a choice, when he created this world. << According to the way I think of free will and evil (at top) I do not think that free will would exist. Again God wants love, therefore free will must be given, thus evil exists. No free will/no evil. >> The issue is not a black and white one. We could probably discuss the definition of "evil" for years. One of my main definitions for an evil person, is one who was born a predator. There are millions of people born with mental and physical defects. Some of these defects, or variations in the DNA chain, will make some people more willing and able to do harmful things to others. This will be proven by science and not by conjecture. If God created man, then God created the DNA design. If the DNA design causes some individuals to be evil, then it was God's purpose to do that. << God chose to create men and to give them free will. They chose decency or not. >> Then again, you do not believe that God had the power to create only decent men, who still had free will. I do believe that God had the power. This is major to my belief. Have you noticed that some people are more apt to do good things, then others? Do all people, born with free will, have "absolutely the same" predisposition to do good or evil, at birth? If so, is that God's design, or was he forced to do it that way? << Good luck in your quest for truth >> << I just saw that your profile quote is: Edmund Blake's "Evil triumphs while good men do nothing." That is a pretty damning quote. >> Of course, according to your belief, there is no such thing as a good man, only a man, with free will, who has decided, for the time being, to do good.
