Nick,

Let see, that is 4 days, and doesn't the 'power test' the machine for 24 hours, that's 1 day, and 2 days to ship, let's see now........ Kind of like going to the store and buying a custom built computer off the shelf!

Yeah, I LIKE IT!

Regards,

Ken

Nick, I wish I bought a Dell instead for my last PC. The next one will definitely be Dell. I am almost tempted to buy one now just to see for myself what a difference a really fast PC would make (currently have a ~2 year old 200Mhz Pentium with a somewhat slow hard drive). I am considering buying more Dell stock now, but will probably try to catch it on further weakness. I am still wondering what long-term problems there could be for Dell (so far have not heard any bearish arguments that really worry me). If I could sell my machine easily I would consider a new one now. I am also considering waiting for the new fast DSL modems, which should eventually come with new PCs (early next year?). Right now I guess Dell must be shipping with the new industry-standard 56K modems.

I wonder if PC sales will really take off in about a year or so when the new modems and Windows 98 come out. Looks like MSFT will be able to integrate the browser as planned per the news out today.
