There is some feeling that ASND could go higher this week being expressed. The SSF is a little higher that yesterday on Yahoo, which could contribute. But, please let me remind the thread, on Friday we get two speeches in one day from ASND management to the public.

I have been told in an e-mail response to my questions about why the earnings date changes that IR and Mory are traveling as of today (Wednesday) afternoon to the JPMorgan conference. Clearly they are not going this early to look at the walls. Mory speaks at 1:00pm PST on Friday, in Orange Cty, CA. Can anyone cover this, it may be the last chance before the quiet period (read on)???

The Internet World conference will get the ASND Founder and CTO speaking after 9:00am PST in Los Angeles. So it appears to me that we could get some positive benefit from the speaking engagements in the next two days.

Kristina's comments from IR were that the change in earnings release date were insignificant. Remember they changed dates for the Q4 release, too. And that one was o.k. In my opinion the question on Q1 is can they beat it by 2 cents like Q4, or merely just meet the number.

She expressed thanks to Gary and I for trying to keep the SI and Yahoo informed of the corrected release dates.

Specifically as to the Form 10-K. There is no delay in filing. It will be filed prior to 3/31/98. The date she had given Gary was the earliest he could see if in the mail, after printing. Now we all know Gary nor I will be waiting for the printed version to read the Edgar filed Form 10-K. BTW, FreeEdgar will e-mail alert you to any filing for your list of symbols entered in your personal watchlist. My CPQ has been hitting hard on Schedule 4s.

IR further reports, that not only will the 10-K be finished before the EOM, but also the Proxy statement and the Annual Report will be completed by EOM. Bottomline, there is no earnings release and Form 10-K related date activities. So we all can read a lot before the May 21, 1998 shareholders meeting. Anybody planning to come out for that?

For those who want to get that last minute call to IR or the company the quiet period begins on March 15, per the IR communique. Gary, call Ashby on the 15th, it will be the last day he can take the call. And he is out of the office until Monday with Mory, is my guess, which may make that difficult now that I think about it. The 15th is Sunday...

As to the quarter, the following words were used in the e-mail: "...the quarter is not "in the bag", but we feel positive about our progress to date and comfortable that we are tracking according to plan." In another part of that e-mail near closing the following comments were made: "We are simply concentrating on getting this quarter wrapped up and behind us so that we can get on with the rest of the year for which we remain bullish."

I believe I have already pointed out that the estimates going forward don't in my opinion reflect this "bullish"ness yet. An estimate that increases from .25, .26, .28 and .34 or very near those amounts, for the next quarters, respectively, has not been increased enough to show the promise that this company has in building out the internet infrastructure and space.

But that's just my opinion, but given my feelings above I doubt that I would daytrade ASND right now, until after Friday's talks.

Dennis

P.S. Again is anyone going to make it the JPMorgan?

An incredible day for VoIP all around. (3/10/98) Here is what I mean

FTEL 4 15/32 +10.85% Volume 108,500
NSPK 26 1/4 + 2.94% Volume 104,090
VOCLF 23 3/4 +2.15% Volume 367.900

And of course this:

$35 million of IDTC stock was bought and sold today, maybe someone who took 1 million shares of the placement just made $10 million

And dont forget this one:

OZEMY 12 11/16 +28.4% Volume 364,000 One possible reasons for the
increase can be found at:

biz.yahoo.com

but the real reason is this ...

On Monday, Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO - news) announced their intent to team with OzEmail to facilitate the global deployment of Internet telephony gateways, roaming authentication and settlement services. The companies intend to jointly develop an interface between OzEmail Interline's (Interline) Control Node Gatekeeper and the Cisco IOS(TM) software, based on the H.323 multimedia standard.

So for that reason and that reason only I am going to upgrade OZEMY to an 8.

This is the results from the January 15, 1998 recommendation of the VoIPInvestor home1.gte.net

GLC.V was recommended at $.40 now at $.67 +54% (CDN)*

IDTC was recommended at 20 1/8 now at 34 19/32 +70.83%

FAX.TO was recommended at 17.00 now at 17.35 +2.06% (CDN)

NSPK was recommended at 25 1/8 now at 26 1/4 +3.96%

OZEMY was recommended at 6 1/2 now at 12 11/16 +95.19% (yummy)

VOCLF was recommended at 19 7/8 now at 23 3/4 +20.56%

So thats makes the VoIPInvestor Index +39.66%

Keep your eye on OZEMY they have got goliath in there corner.

GLC.V is inactive as they just completed the rollback and symbol change. A lot of people bought into the stock at around $3.00 canadian thats around 2.10 U.S (before Mr. Sterling had control) They only have 2.2 million shares on issue, with a float of about 1 million. Very tightly held. Once the funding has been completed these guys will move fast. And wouldn't you know it they are going to use FTEL hardware. So you can have your cake and eat it too.

I expect VOCLF to continue a slow but acceptable increase. These guys are animals.
