Allen,
There is an article in today's IBD entitled "Strongarm gives Intel a helping hand" It talks about Intel buying the patent rights to Alpha and Strongarm. I remember you talking about the implications a while ago, but I couldn't find the post in the index.

The article talks about how people thought Intel wanted Alpha, (which I recall you saying that Wind was in), but they really wanted the rights to Strongarm, processors for mass-market consumer devices like palmtops, digital cameras and set-top boxes. It goes on to say that it could buy Intel's way into the emerging market for hand-held devices that run Microsofts Corp.'s Windows CE software which currently does not run on Pentiums.

My question is does Strongarm run Wind's OS on some of those devices or none? I believe you may have already answered this question, but I was not able to find the answer.

I have appreciated your thoughtful and knowledgeable responses.
Thank you in advance.
Carol
