>>>Predicting stock prices is a stupid game, especially when you do it publicly. Nevertheless, I think this correction is over, and, like others here, I put my money where my mouth is.

Bob.....now don't take this personal.....but I couldn't resist..

Anybody ever tell you, you had a large mouth?

Seriously though.....after last week, and yesterday. We're all due for a laugh this morning!

Have a good one everybody, and don't forget to bring an extra pair of under shorts to work with you today...........

Robert: Thanks. Your posts are must reading.

Tom: As you suspected, I have mixed feelings about CKFR being listed officially as an "internet" stock. I think the tulip-mania days are about over for insanely puffed-up, cash-burning stocks like XCIT, which I shorted a few days ago. And which, by the way, was down nicely yesterday.

>>> I wish there were less shares outstanding and I have been trying to get management to consider getting started on a stock buyback program.

I agree. Now that CheckFree will be turning a profit, it will be interesting to see how/if the increase in value will be returned to the shareholders. This will be a true test of Management. Thanks for using your 'voice' in the best interest of the shareholders.

Benny

Mr. Gintel, the value of SI threads such as this is selfevident when
fund managers such as yourself take the time to read and contribute to these sites. I, too, am a believer in keeping all your eggs in just a few baskets, but really studying and watching those baskets.

Great thread you guys have here. I got in at 22 1/4 yesterday, shortly after the stock started trading again. I really like the long term risk/reward of CKFR. Short term, the heady levels of the XCIT's,
YHOO's, and AOL's concerns me. But, I feel a company such as CKFR, on the verge of positive cash flow, with potential for huge advances this summer is as safe investment as you can have in this sector.

I have also just taken a position in NTBK, the first totally internet
banking company. Their growth is astronomical as well. They also should announce their first profit this quarter. Good luck to all.

Mark
