While Wiener has outperformed the total market index, it really hasnt been by much per your numbers. I think the difference between 18.9% and 19.5% is pretty much within the noise. He's still bullish on the health care sector ? He may be right again, but I prefer the Total market for reasons of diversification. It will be interesting to see how VTSMX compares to managed funds in the event of a market down turn. I've heard Bob say that the idea of managed funds outperforming the indexes in a bear is a fallacy (sp?). After all, (I think) a fund manager's job is to be in stocks regardless of the overall market outlook. We'll be watching ! Take care.
