PCI is a good example. AGP isn't really a standard insofar as only Intel chipsets use it. I surely hope USB becomes an honest-to-god standard, and not a pseudo-standard nightmare like SCSI. SDRAM - is that Intel? Firewire is surely not Intel, I was under the impression that it originated with Apple.

I'll have to disagree with you there. They seem to have ignored that whole conflict. They could have made SOME effort to get the lay of the land and pull for one or the other. Heck they even use to make modems.
