hi bill, God's profile said he was only a visitor so I assumed even he wasn't forced to cough up the dough.

(*question to self: I wonder if this free 30 day trial membership that SI implemented this week will get abused?)

bill, there are those of us paying subscribers here that believe S.I. has been much abused before the Dryers started this 30 day trial.

In my loud and obnoxious opinion Silicon Investor needs an influx of new people to keep the current gene pool from stagnating. Those who stay after the 30 day period will know the ropes. So for the next few weeks things might just get a little more interesting.

BUT LET ME SAY THIS. ALL NEWBIES SHOULD BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS. SILICON INVESTOR NEEDS THEIR BUSINESS TO SURVIVE AS AN INDEPENDENT FORUM.

MrB, I too was wondering, no actually marvelling, at how well some of these posters were doing in the market that they were coughing up $$$ memberships at the rate of 1 a day, until I discovered this very same policy.

Abused? Naw, not likely. Though I wonder if the policy itself will last the full trial period.
