Who cares if AMD has a new super chip
if they can't make chips in the first place.
OEM customers (Boxmakers) and the street probably won't be
impressed by any new product announcements as
the bottom line issue is production yield.
It is astounding that a modern day high tech
company has gone on so long without achieving manufacturing
improvements of any apparent consequence.
What would be the situation if General Motors
couldn't deliver cars for 8 months ( at over 40 % yield that is)
or if Seagate couldn't produce disk drives under the same
circumstances - yes a few weeks of teething pains on a new product
is one thing but persistent inability for nearly a year is another story.
Boy would we love to have the truth on the current factory situation
