Semiconductor Capital Spending Will Drop In 1998
Semiconductor Business News - 3/11/98; 9:31 a.m. EST

Semiconductor capital spending will drop 12 percent to 14
percent worldwide in 1998 compared with last year
because of steeper-than-expected cuts in Japan,
according to Morgan Stanley & Co., which presented a
newly revised forecast before its Semiconductor Capital
Equipment Conference in Laguna Niguel, Calif.

shane, no I am NOT sure about that. I only visit Briefing from
time to time. They could well have been opening and closing the
window during the last month. All I know is that there is a lot
of hot air permeating throughout their perspectives, brought on
by windy opening and closing or not.

Moonray: Are you sure about that?
