Jan, I don't know if the cellular sector really means putting a priority tag on the development scheme. If my memory serves me right, one of the development contracts last year was with Ericsson. Can't remember if that was in conjunction with SAAB, though. Ericsson are huge in cellulars, and would surely like to get an edge on their competitor NOKIA in Finland. Anyhow: Ericsson is supposed to supply MVIS with development funding, so any priority 'problem' would be linked to management and human resources at MVIS. On the competitor side, the alternative to VRD/Cellular is LCD, and it speaks for itself that a tiny LCD screen on a phone -however sofisticated- can't compete with VRD. On the other hand: How's the light beam of VRD supposed to operate with a hand held appliance directed to the eye? Nothing much for a trembling hand, is it? Price down again today. Well, well, I hadn't popped the champagne yet, but I must admit I was seeing the jump as a good beginning for something even better. Then again, the few bottles of bubbly I've got stashed away in my cellar are left to mature another two or three years, so I'll have to see what comes first: MVIS at $100 or the turn of the new century...
