Re: Short-term v. Long-term [Marginally Topical]

As I have said about others who post on this board, its very easy to call LGND with 20/20 hindsight, but short term timing can be difficult.

As was evidenced by the fact that you rode the "bid-ask" down 35% into those lows at 11 (I can hardly believe anyone needs links to document that fact).

"Long-term timing" hasn't been a slam dunk on this stock, either. The only way one can claim LGND has performed even closely to the general market over the past two years is to select carefully the timeframe. That, of course, would constitute both "20/20 hindsight" and "short-term timing."

The record, to date, incontrovertibly shows that LGND has not been an exceptional long-term investment. It may be in the future. It may be right now. The science you cite is quite compelling. The trading observations are not.
