Thank you, Satchmo. If you study the distribution of blocks of stocks owned by all the mutual funds; you get a feeling of the amount that they would hold. The size can start very small to 250,000 shares. If they fell in love with the stock, over 1 million shares is not unusual. Many years ago, mutual funds only commit 50,000 shares on each stock, so they spread the risk. Nowadays, every one is chasing stocks, even the small ones.
