Joe, I hate to say it, but I've made that same JFK/MM reference myself. <G> As I said, he's by no means my hero, but I think we do ourselves a disservice as Americans to hold our President in this kind of light in front of the world. Actually, I agree with most everything you said. I get equally upset for what has happened to Monica. As someone said, it could have happened to almost any young woman. As a fellow parent of a daughter, I know how I would feel if my daughter became the subject of every sex joke in America and her name became synonymous with some very unflattering terms and expressions. Even if she thought she wanted all the publicity, she doesn't deserve what she is getting. Her name will be used for a long, long time, and she won't get the "respect" that we give to even a Mata Hari, whose escapades were far more meaningful to history. BTW, I live about five miles from where that rally was supposed to take place. I thought remarkable, unbelievable good sense was shown in calling it off. I'll leave you alone. In a few years, you're going to have three teen-aged girls all at once. You've got enough trouble without me. <G> Best of luck! Regards, AD
