Ken,

There is a big difference in the scan language and the data format. You can get a head start on charting with QP 1.1 and how scans work. Try the scans included and those posted here but I would not devote too much time to writing new ones. Just enough to get an idea how they work.

If you are using an other TA program the data from 1.1 will get you running until the new release is out. I use it every night as a source for data in WOW even though I am a beta tester for R2. I am still in the process of converting my scans and procedures to R2.

Good luck,

Bob

Ken, that's good Bob Sage advice to run with the Quotes Plus R1 demo. The Chart Display module works alike in Revision 2 with some added benefits, the scans are performed the same way from the screens that are alike. And more.

I suspect that Beta testers may be looking at the production product in a few days.

I'm finding the latest version to be quite solid. I am told that the next one will have changes that will make installation/un install improvements... the sort that keeps new users out of confusion... minor stuff that has already been tested at the factory.

I run a pretty full collection of software, including Ensign, the real time product fed off DTN satellite, an ethernet hookup, UPS backup, computer clock updating via internet, IE 4 and before that Netscape and all runs harmoniously while I do scans, use Quotes Plus' Chart display in conjunction with MetaStock 6.5 when interviewing stocks. (By the way, Quotes Plus chart displayer is instaneous at presenting any stock you type in... tap the letter "E" and type the symbol or go through a list generated by a scan or a text editor, for example)
