Kind of what I expected. Essentially, no real sales. If the technology is the real deal, and competitive with the invasive (riskier, and far more expensive) monitoring techniques now being used, this is a no brainer. So why are there no sales. There seems to be an admission here that the wrong sales and distribution model was chosen - but the prior model, Tri-Anim, I believe, was also not the correct model.
I am told the last year or two or three has allegedly been spent re-inventing the device. For the past year they have been saying they have something that can fly. They've added management - a new CFO, among others, and are transitioning to a direct sales force. At least some people are becoming disenchanted, as the deterioration in the stock price reflects. Their sales target for FY 97 was not reached (by a longshot), and unless they ramp up pretty quickly, they will fall short again this year. Why are they not gaining acceptance and sales in the medical community? Comments? Again, I'd still like to see positive comparative studies in widely read peer review medical journals. And I don't know how aggressively hospital chains are being pursued at the highest level - particularly if this is a slam dunk.
