AS A LONGTIME LURKER AND EVEN LONGER BAY SHAREHOLDER I'M BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE HERE WE GO AGAIN. MY FEELING OF PESSIMISM IS ONLY MITIGATED BY THE THOUGHT THAT WHEN EUPHORIA RAN HIGH IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER RUN- UP IT WAS WRONG. NOW WITH THE PRICE FALLING I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT SENTIMENT IS EQUALLY WRONG. HOWEVER, I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHY PEOPLE MAKE ESTIMATES OF 55-60 DOLLARS A SHARE WITH NEXT YEAR ESTIMATES OF 1.51-1.60. HAVEN'T WE LEARNED ABOUT OVERVALUATION RE:$42/SHARE. ONLY NOW DO I HEAR IN HINDSIGHT THAT 42 WAS GROSSLY OVERVALUED. WILL ANYONE EVER MAKE MONEY IN BAY BY BEING A BUY AND HOLD INVESTOR. I HAVE SUFFERED WITH THIS COMPANY SINCE JULY OF '95.

'bumm- Off Topic- <<urban underclass is a direct legacy of Jim Crow.>> When I was born, the unemployment rate for young black males in this country was essentially the same as for young white males. This at a time when Jim Crow was still a significant social factor. Today young black males have about three times the unemployment rate of young white males (I think this is the 18-24 year age group). Unemployment in the urban underclass is more a legacy of the welfare state- and the decimated family structure it has spawned- than it is Jim Crow. Regards, Larry P.S. Back in these Dayes of Olde whenst I was Borne, the jobs that young people had were private sector jobs, not make work government pyramid building jobs.
