James, as a computer consultant I can tell you that year 2000 problems are no more a concern for an Internet bank than a regular bank. The "Internet" interface is very new and 4 digit dates were certainly used. Security shouldn't really be a major concern either. This is a lot safer than accessing your account over a touch-tone phone, which all banks do now. Touch-tone access is totally unencrypted. Anyone listening on your telephone can see exactly what you are doing with a touch-tone interface. With an Internet interface it doesn't matter if someone is listening to your phone line; they can't do anything. Internet access is encrypted and authenticated.
