Well put. I have been in and out of RNTK since June, 1991 !! I hope to be out of EXTI by June, 1998 ----- or so.

I agree with you. While EXTI may be a worthwhile short-term play based on positive funding news, the long-term and widespread potential of this technology is much more unclear. The use of liver dialysis may be suitable for patients awaiting liver transplantation or for transient support for reversible hepatic failure, but it's unrealistic to think that every hospital will spring for such a device or 'hepatic dialysis centers' will be springing up on every street corner. This technology will probably be ultimately limited only to major tertiary medical centers who have the resources to wisely and selectively utilize it.
