I thought that the 10Qs are REQUIRED by the SEC each quarter within sixty days of the end of the quarter (10K at the end of the year).. No? Usually companies announce earnings about 15-30 days prior to the 10Q.

The last two 10Qs were released on Nov 13 1977 and Aug 14 1977. Earnings were announced on 10/30 just 14 days prior to the last report.

A 10K should be out soon, as I've seen no request to file a late NT10K as they did last year. Boy, this company sure knows how to keep present and potential investors happy: I hope they know more about medical devices than they seem to know about running a public business.

I am convinced that the earnings are delayed because they are far below estimates. However, what I don't understand is that if, as I believe poor financial performance was the reason for Gombrich's ouster, why weren't earnings announced at the time of the resignation/firing and Gombrich made the sacrificial lamb and the new CEO the white knight. Why not get all the bad news out of the way at once instead of allowing the stock to flounder and get lambasted twice? What has me worried more than the companies performance is that nothing they do seems to make any sense. They announce plans and then cancel them almost as fast ie. Sakura, last years reverse split, the equity buy back, etc. If somebody could attempt to help me make sense of this I would be eternally grateful.
