I got this rumor from a broker at Kirkpatric Pettis. They are one of two market makers on KIWT, and they would be a participating underwriter in the event of an IPO. If you recall, when MFS went public Kiewit stockholders were able to buy an allotment of MFS stock from Kirkpatric Pettis. They probably would not be the lead underwriter. This would be handled by a large firm such as Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, or Goldman Sachs. Wether this is a good rumor or not remains to be seen.
