<< What a vision??!!>> Lets assume he had a vision and that he said yes to both of those questions. What would it change? ATT would still spin off LU and Baby bells would still merge. And only the price of the stock might of been a bit lower then it is.

You tell me one ceo that would concede that competition would hurt them and I would say give me a new ceo. Its absurd to judge someone on such ludicrous questions that hardly deserves an answer to anyway. Ask the ceo of coke if he thought pepsi would hurt their business and what do you think he would say. How can you compare lucent to digi. Lucent has a way of buying their way into markets cause they can't develop technology fast enough to keep up with DSC. LU is a good company with all the right connections and deep pockets, but when the dust settles its performance that counts. In my opinion their stock(LU) is way ahead of the companys performance. DSC is a kick-ass top-notch cutting edge corp. with a few bumps in its road and its stock is way below the companies performance. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen-buy bonds. Let me reiterate. DSC is way undervalued and Lucent is way overpriced. The market is built on perception and not reality. DSC just needs to get that point across(PR) to the investment world. They are the underdog and when your an underdog you have to work extra hard to win respect.
