The difference is that this is Java support for the architecture that is already out there. So IFMX VAR's will have multiple languages that they can develop in, instead of being restricted to one (like Sybase).

Mark do some research on Sybase products and its architectures. I know your aware of Sybase's development and middelware offerings. Sybase provides the most complete and "open" solution set in the industry. Sybases's architecture supports Java, C/C++, ActiveX, DCOM, and Corba which covers all the bases when it comes to multi-tier computing. Doesn't look like single language support to me.
