Shalom, You must understand that God is not some gray haired benign old grandfather way off in the wild blue earnestly waiting for his children to come home. He is the living God who has complete control over every situation that could possibly present itself. When God says tells what we must do to be saved and we don't follow that route then we shall be damned. You claim to be speaking God's word but you are one of the few people that hides behind an alias, why is this? Nevertheless, I will however feel free to judge the words of anyone who claims to be speaking God's word, especially if it doesn't line up with the scriptures. You come across to people as a very loving person to some but certainly disdain others. When I came to the ask god thread I noticed that Emile was being ridiculed by most of the regulars. I scrutinized what he said and found most of it lined up with the Word of God. I also looked at what others were saying and found much of it was contrary to God's word.. When I said anything I was instantly criticized and called many vile names, by some of the very people you patronize so lovingly. You also in not so many words said it was best to not get involved because I didn't know what was going on. As to what I wrote to mark Silvers, you will notice that quite a few times I print out Spurgeons Morning and Evening devotions for that day. Well today was no exception! Call it a coincidence that this just happened to be todays message. I will tell you flat out that unless a person is born again by the word of God while in this lifetime they will not enter into His glory. There is no such thing as purgatory where people may get another chance. The rich man that Jesus spoke about in his story of " Lazarus and the rich man" is still in the flames of agony and is awaiting final judgement where he will face eternity in the lake of fire with Satan and his cohorts. This rich man knew all about Moses and the law and probably was a very religious man, he probably also spoke kind words to people about God. He most likely even thought that God was the one who caused him to prosper. Unsaved people who have already died will not be given a second chance during the millenium to make things right with God. I can't imagine someone yelling Peace, Peace during the laodicean church age and just before the great tribulation. We should be yelling Run to God!! Run to God, get right with God before it's too late!! I'm sorry if I sound harsh, that's not my intention, but God has already shown His love towards us in that he sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins. Love between God and a redeemed soul is a most treasured pearl, but when we take that pearl and throw it before swine(Christ's words not mine) they will trample it and then turn and rend you. -Chris
