Why did DO rally on the resignation announcement?
It seems that the street likes the management change.
Any comments?

Word on the street re Bob Rose quitting DO, is that the non-industry owners of DO (Tisch's) are somewhat "cheap" in the way they reward their execs. Rose was likely sitting there seeing his counterparts get rich with stock options etc, and he was not. Therefore, according to word on the street, he is moving to a company that will properly reward talent.

This moves Tisch into CEO. That should not be a comfort to owners of DO, IMO. Thoughts are that DO is so hamstrung by constraints from Tisch's that they are unable to participate in many new projects. It is thought among many industry observers that DO will be sold out now that the market is viewed to be "at the top" by some.

No facts, just speculation.
