The rumor for the past several days has been that CEO Harold Ruttenberg would step down. From what checking I am able to do, it seems to be true. I have heard that he and one other executive (possibly his brother?) are being forced out by the board of directors, and will be replaced by someone who has run a rival shoe company in the past. This seems to be widely known among employees, so I give the rumor more weight than normal. Judging by the market's action, it seems to like the news.
